Allison Janney

AllisonAllison Brooks Janney, born on November 19, 1959 in the United States is an American actor. Her performances on screen and stage have been a hallmark of her professional career, which spanned more than three decades. Janney has been awarded numerous awards like the Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award and A Golden Globe Award, and seven Primetime Emmy Awards, in the midst of nominations to win the two Tony Awards. Janney was born in Boston and grew up at home in Dayton (Ohio). The actress was awarded a scholarship to study at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art following her graduation from Kenyon College. Janney made her television debut in 1999, playing C. J. Cregg in the role of C. J. Cregg on the NBC's political drama The West Wing (2000-2006). In the course of her work, she won four Primetime Emmy Awards for this performance. She was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2014 for Outstanding Guest Actress in an Drama Series in the role of Margaret Scully's role on Masters of Sex. The most notable role she played was her performance as Bonnie Plunkett.
